One of the most incredible parts of this job is seeing something that was once simply a discussion, a dream, notes on a piece of paper, or an inspiration board and watching it come to life right before your eyes. The incredibly talented SharkPig captured all of the cinematic moments of Maggie’s black tie ranch wedding from a couple weekends ago and left us with the sweetest sneak peek below. Sometimes there really are no words.

It is without a doubt that spring wedding inspiration tritely calls for blush or lavender hues. And it was the moment of receiving our client’s inspiration (a photo of their pristinely painted front door, in fact) that our hearts fluttered. The richest navy paired with a strong kelly green (unintentional, yet quite the fitting shade if you know the bride’s new name). With no time at all, we drew up
our Maggie’s dream wedding. Stay tuned for an upcoming post with a sneak peek video of their magical day.

We are always fans of tradition — but we’re not afraid to subvert it then and again, especially when we can create a fresh take on the old. When it comes to “something blue,” who is to say you can’t wear an indigo gown at the altar if you feel like it? Here, we’ve curated a few bets in blue to ensure you’ve nailed down that final touch, be it in the form of eye-catching pumps, a flower girl’s sweet smock, an intricate brooch, or delicate handkerchief.

We’re so excited to see Christy and Phil’s outdoor Austin baby shower on 100 Layer Cakelet today! Christy is a vital part of our floral team and we were so excited when her stepmother asked us to help create an extra special baby shower for her. We painted the affair in sky blues and sunny yellows to echo the happiness that filled the room. Christy and Phil had papel picado at their wedding, so it was so much fun to bring them back for their baby shower. As they entered the shower, guests were greeted by mylar balloons. Refreshments included a table filled with “cravings” and a mimosa bar. We were so lucky to have the very talented Heather Curiel there to capture it all. Thank you to the amazing team of vendors who helped us make her shower such a dream.
