The Nouveau Romantics Team

The Nouveau Romantics Team // Hannah, Diana, Liz, and Rebecca // Photo by Wyn Wiley

We had the one and only Wyn Wiley shoot some photos of us a few weeks back and are so excited to share them with you! Hannah, Diana, Liz, and Rebecca, Team TNR. So, if you call our office or if we email back and forth about projects and weddings, this is what we look like when we have the most talented photographer making us look good [and laughing our pants off while doing some really silly things that end up photographing really well! Who knew…]

Thanks Wyn, we love you!

New Year, New Look, New Business Cards!

New Year, New Look // The Nouveau Romantics // Austin Wedding Planning and Event Design Studio

It’s been more than half a year in the making, but one of the best (small) ways of welcoming in the new year of 2014 is a new look — our logo! The delightful Chelsea of Go Forth Creative worked with me to revamp our look and feel, and after three plus years, it feels pretty good to get it right. [I actually designed our first logo really fast to get something up and out there in 2010, and never was able to go back and really look at the fonts, adjust some tiny sizing, etc. It drove me nuts! Now all is well in the logo world.] Read More

Texas Ranch Wedding | On The Road Again

Texas Ranch Wedding Inspiration // The Nouveau Romantics // Austin Wedding Planning and Event Design StudioWe’re heading out for a final run through with our vendor team for a darling Texas ranch wedding on January 4th out in gorgeous Navasota, Texas. Who doesn’t love a good 5 hour team meeting in the car? Regardless, this palette that we put together in our first meeting with the bride is still my favourite, and we’re all excited to see it in person. Think lots of lush blooms in creme, peach, and warm yellows and pinks, along with seasonal fruit in the arrangements! (Psssst: the incomparable Jose Villa will be making an appearance — be still our hearts!)

TGIF, y’all! Here is a quick little round-up of some goodies we’ve been in to lately.

How amazing is this arrangement by Emily Thompson for Veranda Magazine? I can’t get over how dramatic and powerful it is. The snowy scene is so peaceful and a perfect setting for such a stunning arrangement. Emily Thompson in Veranda Magazine // Links We Love // The Nouveau Romantics // Austin Wedding Planning and Event Design Studio

Besotted recently shared an interview with one of our favorite ladies, Bailey Amon of Antiquaria. It’s interesting to hear her background and how she got in to calligraphy. She also mentions wanting to teach calligraphy workshops, starting next year…we’re definitely crossing our fingers for that to happen! In the meantime, you can teach yourself some calligraphy basics with these tutorials from Antiquaria, and don’t forget that they‘re offering these calligraphy starter kits through their website. Now you don’t have any excuses not to teach yourself something new! Antiquaria Calligraphy Starter Kit // The Nouveau Romantics // Austin Wedding Planning and Event Design Studio

Of course, we have to share something food related. I’m excited to try this Sweet Potato Quinoa & Cotija salad from Love & Lemons sometime soon! It’s healthy and easy to throw together after work…what’s not to love?

We’re honored to have made the list with this beauty! This bout is one of our most requested by brides, and we’re happy to oblige. It’s classic, and a little more interesting than your standard rose. Bonus: even guys love it!

We’ve got another busy week ahead, so we’re going to savor this weekend. Hope yours is great too!
